Privacy Policy
MeasureMate has no accounts, no analytics and no tracking. What you measure stays on your device and your own network.
Effective 29 October 2026. This policy covers the MeasureMate app for iPhone and iPad and the website measuremateapp.com.
Who is responsible
MeasureMate is made by Jakup Andrias Knudsen, Denmark, who is the data controller for this policy. Contact: info@measuremateapp.com.
What the app does not do
- It has no user accounts and does not ask for your name, email address or contact details.
- It contains no analytics, advertising or tracking code, and does not track you across apps or websites.
- It does not send your measurements, settings or device information to me or to any server I run.
Microphone
The built-in RTA and SPL meter use the microphone or an audio input you choose, only after you allow Microphone access. Audio is analysed live on your device to draw the analyser and calculate levels. It is not recorded, saved or sent anywhere.
Your local network
With Local Network access, MeasureMate finds and connects to Smaart®, Meyer Sound Galaxy and 10EaZy systems on your network. It talks to them directly from your device. This traffic goes only between your device and those systems, and never through me. Some of these products' interfaces do not use encryption, so use MeasureMate on a network you trust.
What is stored on your device
To save you setting things up again, MeasureMate stores these on your iPhone or iPad:
- Systems you have connected to, such as their IP addresses and names.
- Your settings, hotkey boards, saved layouts, captured traces and SPL calibrations.
- Passwords you enter for Smaart® or Galaxy, so you can reconnect. Galaxy passwords are kept in the iOS Keychain. Smaart® API passwords are kept in the app's own storage on the device.
This data stays in the app's storage on your device. It is removed when you delete the app. Boards you export as .mmsetup files go only where you choose to share or save them.
Purchases
Subscriptions and purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store. MeasureMate receives only what it needs to unlock what you have bought. It never sees your payment details. Apple's privacy policy applies to the purchase itself.
Crash reports
If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers in your device's settings, Apple may send me crash reports and usage statistics without information that identifies you. You can turn this off in Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements.
This website
measuremateapp.com has no analytics, advertising or tracking. Like any web host, Simply.com (Denmark) keeps server logs of requests, including IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time, to run the site and protect it against attacks. Its security check may set a cookie to remember that your browser has passed it. If you email me, I use your message only to answer you.
Children
MeasureMate is a tool for audio professionals and is not directed at children. It does not knowingly collect information from anyone.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask what personal data I hold about you and have it corrected or deleted. Because the app does not send me personal data, in practice this applies to emails you send me and to the website's server logs. Write to info@measuremateapp.com. You can also complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet).
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
